Review by hotel critic
As a culinary tour guide from Oaxaca, I recently found myself in this lovely hotel and wanted to share my experience with fellow travelers. While it is true that the price tag feels a bit steep, you do get a comfortable stay. My room, though on the smaller side, was impeccably clean, with fresh sheets and towels that always felt welcoming after an adventurous day of exploring local markets and restaurants. One of the highlights was the strong shower pressure and hot water, which was a wonderful reprieve. This hotel really stands out for its honesty and transparency in a city where that seems hard to come by. Plus, the location is fantastic: just a few blocks from the main square, allowing you to experience the vibrancy of the area while still enjoying a peaceful retreat. For those who appreciate convenience, there's also a free wi-fi connection, making it easier to plan your culinary adventures. If you're considering indulging, I found the in-house restaurant to be a nice touch, but remember: there are plenty of local spots that deserve your attention for authentic southern flavors without overspending. All in all, this hotel balances comfort with the realities of travel expenses quite well.
